The Mayans revered there older people, even making statues to represent Powatun, the advisors to the king.

They believed that age brought wisdom — they were right, of course.

 

The crosshatch stones over the entrance to a temple represented union/strength to the Mayas. This was built during Smoke Monkey’s reign.
